West Slope Casa (WSC), LLC is the Managed Service Organization
(MSO) that is comprised of 21 counties on Colorado's
Western Slope. Wholly owned by Colorado West Regional
Mental Health Center, Midwestern Colorado Mental Health
Center, and Southwest Colorado Mental Health Center,
WSC was awarded the Colorado Alcohol and Drug Abuse
(ADAD) contract for provision of substance abuse services
in 1997. Since then, WSC has been designated the permanent
MSO for the Western Slope, and as such has an experienced
network of providers delivering a full continuum of
substance abuse treatment modalities and related services.
WSC provides clinical, fiscal, and contract oversight
for the contracted providers, in addition to quality
improvement activities and local training for addictions
counselors through the West Slope Casa Training Consortium.
In a service area of 44,000 square miles comprised of
mountainous and high desert terrain, WSC providers operate
41 offices with service modalities including intensive
residential, halfway house, detoxification centers,
a wide variety of outpatient programming, and specialized
services for women, offenders, people with co-occurring
disorders, and adolescents. Partnering with local stakeholders
like social services, probation, and drug court, providers
deliver accessible, affordable, and culturally relevant
programming close to home for residents in remote, as
well as populated areas.
